And we're off!

So, here we are.... the day before. Tomorrow morning at the most ridiculous hour (it's all about those cheap train tickets!) we get up to ride to Paddington and set off on our way to Lands End. We'll get off at Penzance at 2pm and ride 20km to Lands End. Quick photo and then we're off to chase the light to get the first of the mileage in. Hopefully resting in Truro for the evening.

I haven't got everything together, haven't trained as much as I had hoped, doubting my route plan and keep removing and adding to my panniers, but that really doesn't matter. We'll get fit along the way and work anything out that we need... right? I mean, it'll be alright on the night... right?!

I must say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who has helped me along the way. But mostly Thank You to Gareth for asking me to embark on this with him and to everyone who has donated SO generously to our cause. I am bowled over by peoples generosity and kindness. I really can't put it into words.

I couldn't finish this post without saying yet another heart felt Thank You (are you all feeling warm and fuzzy by all the love yet?) to those of you who have offered your roof for the night, for those who have gone out of their way to ask friends and family to put up strangers and for the members of The Scouting Community who will look after us. This is a humungous help to us and again I couldn't thank you enough.

I'll try and keep this blog up to date along the way. I can only do so when I can get on to a computer so it might have gaps. And please, keep donating. We are still a fair way from our very ambitious target. Share, tweet, hashtag all those hashtags.... you know, all that stuff!
